  • INHALATION
    		• Blue lips or finger nails. Blue skin. Dizziness. Drowsiness. Headache. Nausea. Vomiting.
    		Local exhaust or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• MAY BE ABSORBED! (further see Inhalation).
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES

    		• Face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• (further see Inhalation).
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    		Rinse mouth. Give large quantities of water immediately. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
    		Separated from strong oxidants, acids, food and feedstuffs, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides and chloroformates. Cool. Dry. Keep in the dark. Well closed.
    		Airtight. Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
     YELLOWISH LIQUID , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR. TURNS BROWNISH ON EXPOSURE TO AIR.

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic fumes (nitrogen oxides). Reacts with strong oxidants causing fire and explosion hazard. Reacts with acids, acid chlorides, acid anydrides, chloroformates. Attacks some forms of plastics, rubber and coatings.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV: 0.1 ppm; 0.50 mg/m3 (skin) (ACGIH 1991-1992).
    PDK: 1 mg/m3 (USSR 1970).


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour, through the skin and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20░C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance may cause effects on the blood , resulting in cyanosis, formation of methaemoglobin. Medical observation is indicated.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     The substance may have effects on the blood , resulting in forming of methaemoglobin. This substance is possibly carcinogenic to humans.
